Allie's First Vacation

A few weeks ago we went to the coast for a few days. It was so much fun to get out of town with Allie. It was very different then other vacations but in a good way. Other then not being able to sleep in. :)

We stopped off at camp 18 for some yummy breakfast on the way.

We had a huge tub in the middle of our room and we took advantage of it.

She loved kicking her legs as fast as they would go. She loved it so much that we went in it more then once.

The last day was cold but beautiful. We took advantage and walked Allie down to the beach for her first time.

She didn't like the cold in her face but had fun anyways.

We then got her socks off and put her feet in the sand.

If your ever in Cannon Beach drive 5 minutes south to Hug Point. It's amazing. There are huge rocks with small caves carved out and a waterfall. The tide was to high for us to go see the waterfall but we had fun walking this beautiful beach.

"It Was Everywhere!"

My nephew Will (18 months) occasionally likes to take pieces of clothing off during his nap. The other day he had gotten his arms through the neck hole of his shirt and pulled it down to his waist. Today I got a call from my mom, she called to tell me what he did during his nap today. Because of the weather she took his pants off, well she is regretting that now. He had gotten his diaper off and then pooped in the play pen! He then stepped in it and then preceded to smear it on his shirt and face. She said it was everywhere! and then smell was so strong it woke my dad up in the other room! She had to immediately put him in the tub and then spray the play pen and his clothes with the hose. I am SO glad that didn't happen here! Tomorrow I will be duct taping his diaper on!

5 Months Old!

This last month has flown by! She is just about ready to roll over and has two teeth budding on the bottom! What a big girl. :) These past 5 months have been the best of our lifes!

Happy Anniversary

Yesterday we celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary. We started off by dropping Allie off at my parents. Then we headed downtown for dinner and a movie. While we were looking for our restaurant we just happen to park across from the Portland Art Museum where we were married. The doors to the ballroom were open so we peaked inside. It was too dark to see anything but so fun to see the building on our special day. Then as we walked to the theater we passed the hotel we stayed at. Fun night walking down memory lane and we didn't even do it on purpose!

Happy Anniversary Babe! I love you and have had the best 6 years of my life being your wife. Your an amazing husband and amazing father. I love what our little family has become. and thanks for the best gift that you gave me back on October 31st. :)

My grandpa Gene is in heaven today. He lived a great 85 years with 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Bye grandpa. We love you.

This is a special day for us. On this day 11 years ago Beth and I started dating. Yes it has been that long and here are some photos to prove it. Our Little Flopper

Allie loves to pull her legs up and then slam them down. We joked that she is going to be a professional wrestler. She would crush her opponent with her mighty thunder thigh slam. In the night while she is restless she flops around in her crib. Each night I put Allie to bed like this....

Books

Allie loves it when we read to her. She grabs at the pictures and sits anxiously waiting for you to turn the page. She even likes to hold onto the book with you. It's so cute. Here is Matt reading Everyone Poops and then Wet Dog. Have you ever read Everybody Poops? That book, it's disgusting! and to make matters worse Matt added sounds effects to the book. GROSS!

Happy 30th Shawn!

Friday my brother turned 30 and we celebrated with a bunch of his friends at El Goucho downtown. It was an amazing dinner. We had the best Clam Chowder we have ever had (with tiny bacon strips), awesome steaks with garlic mashed potatoes. Then for dessert we had Banana's Foster made table side. Yum! Then on Sunday we gave him his gifts. I was excited to give him a slideshow of a bunch of pictures of him. I also did this for my sisters 30th. I am the only sibling in my 20s now and I have made this known several times. :) Just to rub it in a little. hehe. Happy Birthday Shawn! It was fun celebrating with you.
