My brother turned 29 on Thursday and we got together to celebrate. He had requested a chinese food restaurant from a place we have eaten at since we were young, Chu's. SOOOOO Good! Each year at least one person requests this as their b-day dinner and I am glad they do! We had a good time celebrating. I think what was great about the night is that my sister has turned into my brother. She gave him a gift wrapped in.... THE BAG IT CAME IN! That is totally something my brother has done for years. It was like the twilight zone.

Where Are We Going?!
This morning we were on our way to church and we were about 5 minutes away from the house when Matt realized we were headed in the opposite direction! Sometimes Matt spaces but usually I catch it before we take a wrong turn but this morning I was just going with it.

Happy Birthday Mom!
We celebrated my moms b-day yesterday. I was hoping to have the pictures up last night but we were tired when we got home. We ate yummy Olive Garden, she opened some awesome presents, and we watched Big Brother. It was a fun night. I will share some pictures tonight. Happy Birthday Mom. Your the best. I learn from your example everyday and soak up the love that your shower me with. You are the strongest person I know and you can get through anything. I love you!

They Have Meetings
There is this corner we call the "Hippie Corner" just a few blocks away from our house. Basically it has some creepy paintings on the concrete, some really creepy sculptures and no stop signs. Matt says hippies don't want to follow "The Mans" rules. Well you may know that Matt is afraid and hates cats. When we were driving by he just about freaked out because there were three cats sitting on one of the benches. I just about died laughing when he said they get together and have meetings to plan and plot.

Whats That On Your Back?
When Matt was out of work he babysat our 4 month old nephew Will alone for the first time. He was praying for no diaper change but he wasn't so lucky. Will exploded about 3 times in a row so up to the changing table to change his very first diaper and it was a doozy. He changed a very gross green diaper and proceeded to snap his onsie closed. My older nephew Nathan (13 in March) picked him up and when he turned around the green was all up Wills back. Nathan almost threw Will at Matt. So Matt learned that you need to check the back before you snap him up.

Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is the first day of lent. Its a day where we can prepare our hearts for the next seven weeks until we celebrate Easter. We have a service at church which is very quiet and beautiful and during the service we each receive an ash cross on our forehead. It is a symbol for our need for forgiveness, and for our desire for renewal. Lent is a time of reflection and sacrifice, and in doing so we rededicate our lifes to Christ. This is one of my favorite times of the year during which I feel renewed and purified in Christ.

Pink Dream. Yum
Did anyone else love the taste of Amoxicillin when they were younger? I loved that stuff! Yesterday my coworker picked up a presciption for her son and I mentioned I liked the taste. She had me smell it and it brought me back to my childhood.
