My grandpa Gene is in heaven today. He lived a great 85 years with 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Bye grandpa. We love you.

St. Patrick's Day
Happy St. Patrick's Day
This is a special day for us. On this day 11 years ago Beth and I started dating. Yes it has been that long and here are some photos to prove it. Our Little Flopper
Allie loves to pull her legs up and then slam them down. We joked that she is going to be a professional wrestler. She would crush her opponent with her mighty thunder thigh slam. In the night while she is restless she flops around in her crib. Each night I put Allie to bed like this....

Books
Allie loves it when we read to her. She grabs at the pictures and sits anxiously waiting for you to turn the page. She even likes to hold onto the book with you. It's so cute. Here is Matt reading Everyone Poops and then Wet Dog. Have you ever read Everybody Poops? That book, it's disgusting! and to make matters worse Matt added sounds effects to the book. GROSS!

Happy 30th Shawn!
Friday my brother turned 30 and we celebrated with a bunch of his friends at El Goucho downtown. It was an amazing dinner. We had the best Clam Chowder we have ever had (with tiny bacon strips), awesome steaks with garlic mashed potatoes. Then for dessert we had Banana's Foster made table side. Yum! Then on Sunday we gave him his gifts. I was excited to give him a slideshow of a bunch of pictures of him. I also did this for my sisters 30th. I am the only sibling in my 20s now and I have made this known several times. :) Just to rub it in a little. hehe. Happy Birthday Shawn! It was fun celebrating with you.

Big Girl
The last 2 nights Allie slept in her crib all night! and when I say all night it means I still had to feed her a few times but she is officially out of our room. I had mixed feeling about it but glad she finally made the transition. She is only 4 months and already I am sad about her getting older. I am in trouble. :)

More Sickness
Yesterday she went through a total of 6 outfits and today she's only on her second. Today is worse. She lost her voice so it sounds raspy when she cries and she has a slight fever. I hate this! Any advice parents?

Sick Sick Sick
Allie has a nasty cold. She has a horrible raspy cough that makes her throw up (more then usual). I am on my third outfit and Allie is on her fourth. And it's only 4pm! Every time I have to plunge her nose she screams and while she was sleeping last night she was whimpering. Poor girl.

Jelly Head
Yesterday about lunch time my nephew Will was starting to get hungry and Allie was fussing because she was hungry and I was STARVING! So I quickly made Will lunch and myself a PB & J and sat down to nurse Allie. While she was eating I was occasionally grabbing my sandwich with one hand and then I would turn my attention back to her. I usually will rub Allie's head while she is eating and when I did this I got a big streak of jelly in her hair. Whoops! Lesson learned, check your hands for jelly before stroking your daughters hair!

Don't Put That In Your Mouth!!
Allie has had trouble taking a bottle recently. We started giving her bottles on and off since she was 6 weeks but about a month ago she stopped wanting to take them. So I have been trying more often to give them to her. Yesterday I got 5 oz. all ready and when she woke up from her nap I went to change her diaper and when I came back into the living room Will (1 and a half) had the bottle going into his mouth! He had the same bottles but has since been taking sippy cups. I thankfully stopped him before he not only put the clean nipple into his mouth but I stopped him from drinking my breast milk (that would be scarring). Later he tried to give Allie some of his milk. He just wants to share! :)
