Indy!!

Dadada da dada da (you can hear it can't you) In preparation for the new Indiana Jones movie Matt and I watched all three of the old ones over the weekend.  I realized I have never watched any of them all the way through since the first one came out before I was born.  There are many things I love about Indy but here are a few.  (1) They don't mess around they get right to the adventure, in the second movie he isn't even in Italy 5 minutes before he finds the tomb (2) They have like 10 adventures in one movie (3) Indy is awesome, he can get out of any mess and doing it without his hat falling off. (4) He picks up on most story lines when someone else has done the work and he just gets to grab the prize.  (5) Matt likes that Indiana can speak and read languages no one has ever heard of (He is almost as cool as Ben Johnson, wink) The last movie was good overall, somethings I went "really" but still good overall.  What are some things that you love about Dr. Jones?

We've got some kickin!

Friday night I finally felt our little bug kicking!  I didn't know exactly what it was but was hoping it was the baby.  I then felt it again on Saturday, harder on Sunday and then I could feel it with my hand on Monday.  Matt tried to feel it but our little bug stopped.  Lets hope he feels it soon!  It is so fun and a little weird at the same time to think I have a human inside kicking me.  I love it.  :)

Sicky :(

We had a wonderful time at our annual church retreat but I got a cold while we were there.  :(  Bummer.  I am such a wuss and since you can't take any cold meds while pregnant I think I was less then fun to be around.  Sorry to those who had to sit at the dinner table with me silent.  I still managed to have a good time though but was sad because retreats are usually a time for me to reconnect with the Lord and reflect on where my walk with Him should be.  I was so out of it I didn't even understand most of what the speaker was saying.  Sad.

Matt also had a ton of fun hanging out with all the kids and he even did a puppet show!  It was so stinking cute.  For some reason I can't post videos so if you want to see it just ask me to bring my camera the next time I see you.  He was Berny the Beaver and another teacher was Hyper Holly. So funny!
Wish me luck today as I am still fighting this cold and so are the two little ones I watch.  :(

Ladybugs!

After we found out we were pregnant we have been seeing ladybugs EVERYWHERE!  We have seen a few outside our apartment and three inside.  That NEVER happens.  The last time we saw one in our apartment we were talking about the sex of the baby and then one appeared. WEIRD!!  A few weeks later Matt ordered something off ebay and they included a ladybug tattoo inside.  I don't know if we are just more aware of it or maybe the Lord is showing us a sign.  Either way I call the baby Bug or Love Bug now.  :)  and Matt had changed his vote to girl because he feels really strongly it's a girl.  We of course have no preference but he knows its a girl.  I have no idea.  The latest ladybug appearance was when Brynne (4) was playing in the back yard and I was inside.

Brynne:  "Auntie!  There's a ladybug on my play structure!"

Me: (smiling to myself because I was out of speaking range)

Brynne: "Auntie!  There's a ladybug on my play structure!"

Me: (moving to the door so she could hear me) "It's okay, ladybugs are nice bugs"

A few minutes later after silence

Brynne: "I killed it"

Mothers-To-Be Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, including my mom and Matt's mom!  We had a nice lunch at Edgefield today with both our moms and family.  I got a few cards and it was nice to be recognized even though next year will technically be my first Mother's Day.

Cravings

So I haven't been craving much but there are a few things lately.  I expressed a few a couple of nights ago but it was too late to go out and get them.  On the way home a few days later I stopped to relieve some of my cravings and here is the things I brought home.

  • Raspberries
  • A specific kind of Kettle Korn I found at New Seasons
  • Portland Monthly (it was a Coast addition and if you know Matt and I we would totally buy this)
  • and a Root Beer

Matt got home a few hours later and when he came up the stairs I noticed he was holding a New Seasons bag.  "oh no"  I said.  In Matts bag were the following items:

  • Raspberries
  • The exact Kettle Korn I bought
  • Portland Monthly
  • and a Pink Lemonade for me

How sweet!  but I did feel bad I ruined the surprise.  Then I found out he couldn't remember if it was Zupans or New Seasons and went to Zupans first and bought a different Kettle Korn and then went to New Seasons.

Jesus Songs

On the way to my parents house this morning the kids and I were listening to Christian music or as Brynne calls it "Jesus Songs", when Brynne said this to me.

Brynne (4):  They play this music all the way up from heaven so we can listen to it?
