Allie has learned so much in the last month. She is now saying mama, she did her first sign (she copied mom with her tongue out for dog) and she is crawling! Although she only goes for a few feet and then flops on her tummy and army crawls to what she needs. She now has 7 teeth and is hopefully going to get her 8th soon, hopefully, mom is tired of you waking up in the night. She started sleeping through the night but that only lasted a week. Argghh! but I am hopeful that this month she will get it down pat. Allie loves exploring our living room and kitchen. She is getting into everything! Sometimes I miss the days when she would just lay on your lap and play with a toy. :) She is also getting super close to pulling herself up on things. Can't wait to see what she does next. Our big 9 month old!

Best Birthday Present Ever!
Allie said her first word! On my birthday! or at least it was the beginning of her first word. We were at breakfast and Matt was asking where mama was and she looked right at me (which is a first too!) and she said ma! So awesome! After breakfast we headed to my parents for lunch, dessert and presents! Two of my favorite presents were So You Think You Can Dance tickets and all the Twilight books! Then I finished the day with an amazing massage. :) What a good day!

Allie's special hiding place. I just know she will be the type of kid that loves to make forts. :) and I will gladly take off our couch cushions and drag chairs into the living room for her.

Independent Baby
We spent the fourth this year in Happy Valley again with my sister's family and my parents. We had a cookout (that's for you Ford) and went to the park were there were thousands of people, music, vendors and bouncy houses. It was soooo hot so we only spent about 10 minutes there. We lite fireworks and then the city does a great fireworks show over the city. It was so awesome. Allie took a late nap and then she did great staying up until 10:30! but she fell apart in the car while we were stuck in traffic.
